DIY Magic Tissues

DIY Magic Tissues 💫 Does your baby looooove pulling tissues out of the box...and then eating the tissues? Replicate the experience of grabbing tissues one-by-one with just felt and a yogurt container! 😱 This Baby Play Hack is one of my favorites yet! 🥳 Babies 5 months and up love this because it is like playing peek-a-boo—help them learn object permanence with this homemade toy.
Cut several pieces of felt down so that they are square, and cut a slit in one corner of each square, as shown. ✂️ In the lid of a yogurt container, or similar, cut a hole. Make sure not to leave any jagged edges. The larger the hole the easier it will be for baby to pull the “tissues”—I kept mine relatively small so Norah couldn’t reach in and grab them all at once. If you would like, you can use a wipe holder.
To connect the tissues, feed the corner opposite the slit through the slit in the next piece of felt, and continue so they form a chain. Stuff the chain of tissues into the container so that the pieces stack on top of each other. Place the lid on the container and pull the first tissue part of the way through.

If it is difficult for baby to pull the tissues, help by holding the container, or cut the hole larger. This is great fine motor practice and so much fun!! Please tag @babyplayhacks if you try this! .
