Boxtacle Course 📦 Save your Amazon boxes and diaper boxes for some gross motor play! 🏃🏽‍♀️Encourage baby to crawl or scoot by creating tunnels out of boxes—all you need to do is find a large enough box, open the flaps, and push the flaps inside the box. If you have multiple boxes, line some up or place them around the room. For some extra fun, toss pillows or blankets around the room for baby to crawl over as well.
Encourage your baby to crawl through the boxes! 🙌🏼 You can place a toy on the other end to make it more enticing. If baby isn’t feeling it, that’s okay! Save the box and try it again later. Some other ways to encourage movement include putting toys on a slightly elevated surface, varying the surfaces baby plays on (cushions, hard floor with pajamas on, carpet, pillows), encouraging lots of tummy time and placing toys slightly above baby or out of reach.
